So I'm in Chapel Hill, I've been here for about a week and a half now. My love/hate relationship with the hill has been rekindled. Sometimes I drive around Chapel Hill and think its one of the best places in the country to live. Like, when I'm in Carrboro I'm amazed at the cuteness and eclectic-ness of the town. Especially the part from Weaver Street to Jones Ferry/Akai Hana and that whole area.

Franklin street is cool too, there used to be stores like Sephora, Gap and Sunglasses Hut, and now the stuff there is more independent. There are many more boutiques. There are a lot of new restaurants, including Penang and a Vietnamese restaurant. And of course, Franklin street has a good amount of bars, and even a club.

There is some cool residential development stuff going on as well, high density condos and townhouses, close to downtown Chapel Hill. I'm all about the city vibe.

But then, I drive around and see all these boring/ugly subdivisions and I get really sad and disappointed with Chapel Hill. And, I know there is a lot of stuff to do, but it still gets really boring here. So, yeah...

Its been good to be home, but it will be good to leave too.

Oh, one more thing. So I really like architecture and real estate, and I want to get information about a lot of subdivisions. So, I've started going to realty offices and making up a story and pretending like I'm actually in the market, so they'll take me seriously.

mm, ok i think thats it. oh, one random fun fact before I end: including the wisdom teeth, most adults have 32 teeth. I have 36!! Wheeeeeeeeeeee!

how cute is cute?

so apparently people have finally started advertising on the Facebook. This morning I saw an ad that said something about what 5th years at the U of C don't want you to know in 2006. So of course I clicked, and it took me to this place called collegeprowler.com, a guide book to schools with comments from real students. This is what one student had to say about the cuteness of students:

"if you like sitting around and watching the hotness parade, go to a state school, or Northwestern; but whatever."

Carrying the Banner

In a fit of procrastination I'm starting a blog. I don't actually expect many people to check it. I don't even know that I'll update a whole lot. I've been doing a lot of writing lately, but theres no guarantee that I'll do it here. We shall see!
